Dare To Be

Morning Story and Dilbert

When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –
At all times, Dare to Be!

  1. This story reminds me of an experience I had the other day, standing in line at Costco. Hope you dont mind me sharing…

Halfway through unloading my cart on the belt, a guys shows up behind me with two or three things in his hand. So I told the guy he could go in front of me, of course he said thanks and did so. As we started to small talk, he said something like: U know Coscto really needs some express lines. I thought about it for a split second, and I told him, actually people just need to be more observant, and allow the people with less things to go in front of them. This totally shocked this guy, almost like he never thought something so simple, could be so helpful.

I dont share this story with you to boast in my actions, but it seems that too many people are not willing to step out in the “dare to be”.

    thank you for your post.

    God Bless

How inspiring. Just today I offered a gentleman to go ahead of me, he declined, but had the biggest smile on his face.
    Thanks

  5. I got married a few weeks ago, and my surname changed from DARE to my husbands name, Price….. I’m very happy with my new name, but this post reminded me not to let go completely of my ability to Dare! Thank you, from (the potentially still daring)
    Mrs Price!
